MANILA, Philippines — Congratulations to Angeline Quinto of Manila who was named the first “Star Power” Female Pop Superstar. Angeline cried when her ultimate mentor megastar Sharon Cuneta made this historic announcement.

Together with her family and hundreds of supporters, Angeline joyfully received her honors and the whopping prizes attached to it. Ynares Center in Antipolo City, the venue of this big event, was filled with more than 3,500 people, who came from as far as Davao City to witness the much-anticipated “Star Power The Final Showdown.”

“Salamat po talaga Lord,” said Angeline. After her momentous triumph, Angeline shared how she fervently prayed to win. She revealed going to churches like the Quiapo Church and Baclaran Church before the grand finals kicked off. Her devotions, however, didn’t make her overconfident in the competition. Besides her prayer, she also practiced a lot and perfected her performances.

Angeline took home P1 million, an SUV Hover from Great Wall Cars exclusively distributed by State Motors Corp., and a very elegant JMK diamond jewelry set. A contract from Star Magic also awaits Angeline. All grand finalists, on the other hand, are now certified Kapamilyas as they become members of the “ASAP Rocks” family.

But before Angeline made it to the top, she underwent rounds of showdowns with her fierce contenders Akiko Solon, K-La Rivera, Monica Sacay and Krissel Valdes.

“Girls, tandaan niyo yung parati kong tine-text sa inyo. You’re all winners,” said Mega.

Grand champion Angeline was in her highest spirit when she sang “What Kind Of Fool Am I” in the first round. And because of her powerful belts, who would have thought she’ll damage the sound system. “I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing” was the next song she enlivened. The song which really left a mark was Jonathan Manalo’s “Patuloy Ang Pangarap.”

Present to help the resident judges determine the “Star Power” Female Pop Superstar were ABS-CBN executives Linggit Tan, ABS-CBN Head of Entertainment and Anabelle Regalado, Managing Director of Star Records. Both of them represent ABS-CBN Management, which decided the 30 percent of a grand finalist’s score. The other 30 percent was decided by the resident judges while the remaining 40 percent came from text and online votes.

Tuesday Vargas  is ‘Constipada’
Some weeks back, singer-actress-comedienne Tuesday Vargas was noted to have changed her behavior. From her jolly and animated self, she seemed stressed or “constipada” (suffering from constipation). Indeed she was “constipada,” Tuesday revealed during the launch of Dulcolax’s (Bisacody) “Starting Fresh” campaign at Sulo Hotel. “It was hard for me to move everyday. And then I learned that this is a medical condition and it’s not healthy for our body.”

Dr. Ivan Olegario explained to her that constipation is a condition where one passes stool less frequently than usual and it leads to a feeling of bloating or abdominal discomfort.

Dulcolax (Bisacodyl) has chosen Tuesday to be the face of its “Starting Fresh” campaign. “We think Tuesday is the best person to represent the brand as she really can identify with the information we want to share with the public,” Jo-An Ramos, Dulcolax(Bisacodyl) brand manager said. The campaign will also present specially produces mini-series and Dulcolax(Bisacodyl)’s newly launched jingle performed by Tuesday to educate the people in an entertaining way.
