655 pass doctors' exam; 90 new plumbers bared
MANILA, Philippines — The country has 655 new doctors who are set to take their oath on March 14, 2011 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) on Roxas Boulevard, Manila.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said the 655 new doctors were among the 1,230 examinees who took licensure examination given by the Board of Medicine in the cities of Manila and Cebu this month.
The top 10 examinees are: 1. Eleanor de Guzman dela Peña, Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation, 86.33; 2. Jovith Tasarra Royales, Our Lady of Fatima University-Valenzuela, 86.25; 3. Elton Sherman Sze Po, Our Lady of Fatima University-Valenzuela, 85.58; 4. Kenneth Estocapio Yabut, Our Lady of Fatima University-Valenzuela, 85.50; 5. Noreen Manlapaz Dizon, Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation, 85.17; Nila Gonzales Franche, Manila Central University-Caloocan City, 85.17; 6. Censon Lemuel Lizarondo Cabanas, University of Santo Tomas, 84.92; Armie Zarsadias Salaysay, De La Salle University-Health Sciences Institute, 84.92; 7. Joanna Camille Guanzon See Co, Our Lady of Fatima University-Valenzuela, 84.83; 8. Cristine Aurestila Descallar, Cebu Doctors University-College of Medicine, 84.58; 9. Shella Marie Roxas Ong, Our Lady of Fatima University-Valenzuela, 84.50; and 10. Donna Lea Sullano Pepito, University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center, 84.42
The members of the Board of Medicine who administered the licensure examination are: Dr. Miguel L. Noche Jr., chairman; Dr. Florentino C. Doble, Dr. Restituto C. de Ocampo, Dr. Edgardo T. Fernando, Dr. Mildred N. Pareja and Dr. Jose Y. Cueto Jr., members.
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on March 3 to 4, 2011 at OWWA-Blas Ople Development Center, Solana St. cor. Victoria St., Intramuros, Manila. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), two passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), one 1” x 1” picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), two sets of metered documentary stamps, and one short brown envelope with name and profession; and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of R600 and Annual Registration Fee of R450 for 2011-2014. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The oath-taking ceremony of the successful examinees in the said examination as well as the previous ones who have not taken their Oath of Professional will be held before the Board March 14, 2011, 1 p.m., at the Plenary Hall of the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Roxas Blvd., Manila.
Registration for membership with the Philippine Medical Association, Inc. (PMA) will start on March 3, 2011 at PMA Building, North Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City.
90 new plumbers
Meanwhile, the PRC announced that 90 out of 249 passed the Master Plumber Licensure Examination given by the Board for Master Plumbers in Manila this month.
The members of the Board for Master Plumbers who administered the licensure examination are Engr. Virgilio D. Simbulan, chairman; Engr. Jessie M. Mariano and Engr. Valentino M. Mangila, members.
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on Monday, February 28, 2011. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), two passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), one 1” x 1” picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), two metered documentary stamps, and one short brown envelope with name and profession; and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P450 and Annual Registration Fee of P420 for 2011-2014. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The oath-taking ceremony of the successful examinees in the said examination as well as the previous ones who have not taken their Oath of Professional will be held before the Board on March 18, 2011, 1:30 p.m., at the CSB Hotel, Arellano Ave., corner Estrada Street, Malate, Manila.
Registration for membership with the National Master Plumbers Association of the Philippines, Inc. (NAMPAP) will also start on February 28, 2011.
