38 areas at risk of 'dangerous' heat index on April 25
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said 38 areas in the country, including Metro Manila, may have a “dangerous” heat index on Thursday, April 25.

PAGASA said a dangerous heat index of 47 degrees Celsius (°C) may be recorded in Sangley Point, Cavite, followed by a heat index of 46°C in Dagupan City, Pangasinan.
Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) station in Pasay City; Cubi Pt., Subic Bay, Olongapo; Aborlan, Palawan; Roxas City, Capiz; and San Jose, Occidental Mindoro may have a heat index of 45°C.
A heat index of 44°C may also be expected in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan; Central Luzon State University (CLSU) station in Muñoz, Nueva Ecija; Ambulong, Tanauan, Batangas; Puerto Princesa City, Palawan; Legazpi City, Albay; and Virac, Catanduanes.
Meanwhile, a heat index of 43°C may be expected in PAGASA Science Garden, Quezon City; Bacnotan, La Union; Aparri, Cagayan; Isabela State University (ISU) station in Isabela; Iba, Zambales; Clark Airport in Pampanga; Baler, Aurora; Mulanay, Quezon; Calapan, Oriental Mindoro; Central Bicol State University of Agriculture station in Pili, Camarines Sur; Iloilo City, Iloilo; Dumangas, Iloilo; Catarman, Northern Samar; and Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur.
In Laoag City, Ilocos Norte; Casiguran, Aurora; Tayabas City, Quezon; Infanta, Quezon; Alabat, Quezon; Coron, Palawan; Masbate City, Masbate; Tacloban City, Leyte; Guiuan, Eastern Samar; Davao City, Davao del Sur; and Cotabato City, Maguindanao a heat index of 42°C may be felt.
