Fire checks held in Antique

SAN JOSE, Antique – The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in the province of Antique has been conducting regular inspection of various establishments here for fire safety in relation to the observance of Fire Prevention Month.

The BFP Antique, true to their mandate to prevent and suppress all destructive fires, conducted inspections on buildings, houses and other similar structures, forests, airports, land transportation vehicles and equipment, ships docked at wharves, petroleum industry installations, and other similar incidents. Cebu towns join tourney
CARMEN, Cebu – Various towns and cities in Cebu have come together for the holding of a volleyball tournament that aims to promote camaraderie and unity among Cebuanos who are in to sports.

Students get foreign job tips
TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol — As part of its continuing educational advocacy, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) 7 recently visited tertiary institutions here to conduct orientation for graduating students.

POEA 7 Director Evelia Durato said the students were given tips on how to avoid illegal recruiters. Durato said the agency is working on the prevention side as the problem of illegal recruitment is still

Health plan extended to kids
BORONGAN, E. Samar (PIA)— Garantisadong Pambata (GP), a package of health and nutrition services by the Department of Health (DoH), has extended its coverage to children up to 14 years old, said Emily Grande of DoH Regional Office 08.

Grande addressed the Municipal Nutrition Action officers in E. Samar on March 4, during the First Quarter Meeting at the Provincial Health Office.

The nutrition officer said that this year, GP will cover beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) advocacy month.
