14 areas may experience 'dangerous' heat index on June 7

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said 14 areas may still experience a heat index that is considered “dangerous” on Friday, June 7.

PAGASA said a 44 degrees Celsius (°C) heat index may be experienced in Maasin, Southern Leyte.

Meanwhile, Laoag City, Ilocos Norte; Aparri, Cagayan; Tuguegarao City, Cagayan; and Surigao City, Surigao Del Norte may experience a 43°C heat index.

PAGASA added that MMSU, Batac, Ilocos Norte; Bacnotan, La Union; CLSU Muñoz, Nueva Ecija; Casiguran, Aurora; Virac (Synop), Catanduanes; Roxas City, Capiz; Catarman, Northern Samar; Catbalogan, Samar; and Tacloban City, Leyte may have a heat index of 42°C.
