OLONGAPO CITY -- At least 150 Sangguniang Kabataan officials from San Carlos City, Pangasinan were taken to different hospitals in this city due to suspected food poisoning while attending seminar in a hotel at the Subic Bay Freeport Zone on Tuesday, August 6.

FOOD poisoning victims are treated in a hospital in Olongapo City.
Most of the victims experienced severe stomach pain, diarrhea, and vomitting after eating lunch after consuming three kinds of dishes and water.
"Kumain kami ng menudo, pritong manok, chopsuey, at uminom kami ng tubig, tapos bigla na lang sumakit tiyan namin," Sheila Jane Malicdem, SK Kagawad of Barangay Inerangan, San Carlos City, Pangasinan said.
(We ate menudo, fried chicken, chopsuey, and drank water and all of a sudden, we suffered stomachache)
Olongapo City Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. and Bases Conversion and Development Authority board member Rolen Paulino Sr. visited victims taken to the James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital here for first aid.
Police forensics team have taken food samples from the hotel for testing.
The Olongapo City Health Office and Subic Bay Freeport Zone have been asked to assist the victims.
