 MANILA, Philippines – The province of Rizal is known as the country’s arts capital and is home to some of the purest scenic destinations east of Metro Manila. With the province’s gift of natural beauty and a reservoir of lush landscapes, both local and foreign investors have channeled their resources towards developing Rizal as a tourist destination.

This is a dream come true so to speak,” Thunderbird Resorts Philippines country manager Fabio Moretti said.

In its unveiling, the Events Center took center stage as the space wowed the crowd with is elegant and modern façade, as well as the incorporation of the most up-to-date equipments into its design. “We are inspired by nature and in this case it is the symbol of the lotus flower. The lotus flower represents the purity of the mind and the heart, that we try to translate into the space and the materials in order to make it serene,” Thunderbird Resorts vice president for designs Angel Suerio said.

The gorgeous facility makes it possible for the resort to handle social gatherings, conferences, seminars and all kinds of functions. The launch was no exception as guests were entertained by spirited dances, soulful serenade from the Angono Chamber Orchestra and performances from recording artist and TV host Jed Madela together with singer and actress Nikki Gil. The night passed on like a dream with the facilities free flowing vibe providing a fitting ambiance for celebration.

The opening of this Events Center not only broadens the client base of the hotel but it also provides a key component in Rizal’s bid to attract more tourists and adds to the capacity of the province to hold large events. “Thunderbird contributes to the province in terms of both employment and tourism. With the establishment of their new Events Center, the province can now lobby to different groups who conduct conventions and seminars,” Rizal Governor Jun Jun Ynares said. “Now that we have the venue, the province can compete with other world-renowned hotels in Manila,” the governor adds.
