Aeta students benefit
PAMPANGA, Philippines — Some 665 Aeta pupils from the uplands of the towns of Porac, Floridablanca, Mabalacat and Angeles City have their minds, hands and stomach full, so to speak, with the implementation of a multi-pronged innovative learning program for indigenous pupils of public elementary schools here.
The project, dubbed School Caravan for Indigenous Peoples, has benefited hundreds of indigenous pupils since its launching last August 16, 2010.
Beneficiaries include indigenous pupils of public elementary schools in Sitio Target Sapangbato in Angeles City; Haduan Negrito in Marcos Village, Mabalacat ; Villa Maria in Porac; and Camachile in Nabuclod, Floridablanca. (Mark Anthony N. Manuel)
New Sta. Rita municipal hall
SAN FERNANDO CITY, Pampanga — Governor Lilia G. Pineda recently inaugurated the newly constructed of total P27-million Sta. Rita municipal hall in Pampanga 2nd district, as an expected innovation of the better government services to the communities there.

P.N.P.A. cadets take seminar
SILANG , Cavite — CALABARZON( Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) police director, Chief Superintendent Samuel D Pagdilao Jr. on Thursday led the workshop-seminar on Crisis Management Committee (CMC) for the cadets of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) at Camp Gen. Mariano Castaneda, here, the first ever workshop-seminars that aims to prepare future leaders of the police organization in dealing with crisis situation similar to the August 23, 2010 hostage incident in Quirino Grandstand.

Libyan O.F.W.S get aid
LINGAYEN — Pangasinenses are still fortunate with the help of provincial government where OFWs coming from Libya were given financial assistance with the amount of P10,000 and were offered to a local employment thru a jobs fair.
Alex Ferrer, Manager of PESO Provincial Employment Services Office said, here are 226 OFWs who just arrived in the province from Libya , mostly construction workers, carpenters, and nurses. Upon arrival, these OFWs were given P5,000 to P10,000 from the provincial government and P10,000 from OWWA. (Liezle Basa Inigo )
Bataan has deepest harbor
MARIVELES, Bataan — The International Seaport Port, now under the jurisdiction of Authority of Freeport area of Bataan (AFAB) has the deepest harbor along the Manila Bay area that can accommodate huge ships, tankers and cargo vessels.
This was bared by Governor Enrique “Tet” Garcia who proudly reported that the deep sea here is suitable to the newly-created AFAB which is expected to become another “SBMA” with the various incentives, tax benefits, among others being offered to the prospective investors. (Mar T Supnad)
