“It made us even more committed to win the peace though the NPA resorts to obsolete means to overthrow the government,” said Maj. John Andrada, commander of the 3rd Civil Military Operations Battalion (3CMOB), on the death of Cpl. Joebert Glindro.
Glindro was abducted and killed in Tapaz, Capiz by 30 armed men dressed as soldiers while he was on his way home last March 13. It was learned later that Glindro, who was negotiating for the surrender of a rebel, was killed by the NPA’s Central Front Committee led by Francisco Balois (aka “Tonying”). (Tara Yap)
