Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando wished for unity in his province as he marked his birthday on Thursday, May 9, and treated thousands of Bulakenyos to free meals in select food establishments as his way of thanksgiving.
Bulakenyos were treated to chicken with spaghetti and soft drink meals from Jollibee and McDonald's stores in the province, as well as meals from Shakey's, Greenwich, and Chowking.
Approximately 3,000 employees of the Provincial Government of Bulacan were treated to a feast at the Isidoro Torres Hall.
Fernando thanked his fellow public servants and all those who have supported him.
“Pasasalamat ko ito sa ating Panginoong Diyos at sa inyong lahat. Sa loob ng mahabang panahon nang simulang ako’y maglingkod, simula noong ako’y SK hanggang maging governor, nandiyan pa rin ang mga pagsubok. Sobra po ang mga naging pagsubok ko, and thanks, God, thanks, Mama Mary and the apostles, ginagabayan tayo, ang ating mga panalangin pinapakinggan Niya," (I am grateful to the Lord and to all of you. For a long time when I started to serve, from when I was SK until I became a governor, the trials have always been there. I have gone through so much, and it's all thanks to God, to Mama Mary and the apostles, for guiding us and listening to our prayers)," Fernando said.
He urged his fellow public servants to fulfill their promises to and projects for their constituency.
