Run for Japan
Manila, Philippines-- the running community will come together at Bonifacio Global City for Run for Japan on April 17th at 5:00 a.m., to show their support for people affected by the recent Japanese earthquake and tsunami. The record-setting 8.9 magnitude trembler and ensuing tsunami that recently hit Japan caused hundreds of billions of dollars worth of damage to property and claimed thousands of lives. The Run for Japan is a show of support from Filipinos wanting to lend a helping hand.
Put together by Rovic Canono and Rafael Santos, organizers of the Greentennial Run, the run will have 3 events: 3k, 5k and 10k. Registration fee is 350 pesos. Part of this will be donated directly to the Japanese Red Cross Society. The first 4000 registrants will get a souvenir singlet.
Online registration is ongoing courtesy of Runner's Runner, who donated their services for the cause. On site registration will be at R.O.X. at Bonifacio High Street, Taguig starting 2PM on March 27, 2011.
