MANILA, Philippines – Willie Revillame has gotten himself into another controversy with the “sexy” dancing stint of six-year-old Jan-Jan Suan in his popular show “Willing Willie” last week.

Though it was an inadvertent error committed in Willie’s desire to help the needy, and in the process make them happy, just the same he and TV5 have apologized to the public.

Because of what transpired, the Kapatid Network through its COO Roberto V. Barreiro, and Chief Legal Counsel Atty. Christine C. Ona, are currently investigating the incident.

Pending the result of the investigation, TV5 has taken the following measures: Stricter guidelines on the appearance and performance of minors on all TV5 programs; That all “Willing Willie” (and all TV5 programs) auditions be supervised by TV5 reps designated by the Network’s Ombudsman; Appointment of an internal Ombudsman (Atty. Ona) to review any incidents of this nature and to whom any complaints may be referred to for immediate disposition; A moratorium on the participation of minors in all contests and game shows on TV5 until such time that the preceding measures are fully in place.

Meanwhile, TV5 said they welcome the hearings of the MTRCB and other bodies as opportunities to thresh out the issues and find solutions that will address the many concerns that have been expressed. TV5 renews its commitment to responsible broadcasting.

ABS-CBN’s new teen drama premieres today

A new teen drama entitled “Good Vibes” is set to premiere today on ABS-CBN after “ASAP Rocks.” The weekend show that is youth-oriented is topbilled by Sam Concepcion and Enrique Gil as rival siblings.

With Laurenti M. Dyogi, Theodore Boborol, and Nico Hernandez as directors and Clarrisa Estuar as head writer, “Good Vibes” tells the story of half-brothers Marc Pedrosa (Sam) and Troy Cabrera (Enrique) who have to learn how to deal with each other when unfortunate and inevitable circumstances made them aware of each other’s existence.

The youth will relate to their story, both Sam and Enrique said, during the recent press conference for “Good Vibes” held at The Lounge in Morato. “I live the perfect life and the perfect son, I play the achiever, the frontrunner for class valedictorian, the president of the school’s dance troupe, and the resident ‘crush ng bayan,’” Sam described. But things changed when he found out that his father (played by Dominic Ochoa) has a son out of wedlock (Troy Cabrera) who is now orphaned and had to live with them.

Completing the cast of “Good Vibes” are Yayo Aguila, Maribeth Bichara (yes, the popular choreographer who said that they’re not only presenting dance per se, but there’s a story behind every dance in the show), Kristel Moreno and Arron Villaflor, plus the network’s newest breed of young stars: Yen, Santos, Coleen Garcia, Devon Seron, Linn Oeymo, James Reid, Ivan Dorschner, Kazel Kinouchi, Heili Reigo and Chikara Nawa.
