MANILA, Philippines -- If your aim is to make an edition of your print publication on the web, on mobile devices (iPad, Galaxy, etc.) and smartphones (iPhone, Android phone, etc.) then don’t waste your time managing and designing for all three formats. With Adobe’s newest incarnation of the Creative Suite software, now on its 5.5 version, you only have to design once and InDesign makes sure it will cascade seamlessly to all three platforms.

With the new Folio Producer tools built in the application, you can now create, preview, and bundle engaging digital documents for tablet devices such as Apple iPad, the BlackBerry PlayBook, and a wide variety of Android tablets.

The new, built-inOverlay Creatorpanel is used to create the interactive content like a set of instructions. With it, you can make things interactive directly in the InDesign document, allowing you to create instructions in what would otherwise be just a print layout.  If you have a picture on a page, the Overlay Creator would allow you to zoom in to that picture, make a slideshow if you have several frames or even a 360º view, among other commands.

The new Folio Builder panel lets you assemble all of the necessary files into a format compatible with mobile devices. And to see all the design as it would apply on either a website, a tablet or a smartphone, click on the new AdobeContent Viewer and see how it would look in all these devices right on your desktop.

Control the sequence of text, images, and graphics when you export to EPUB or HTML without changing your InDesign layout. Organize your content by dragging it into the new Articles panel to define the export order.

Create more engaging eBooks with less need for developers.Export EPUB documents with embedded audio and videoand with images that resize automatically to fit the viewer’s screen, while you retain greater control over text formatting and content order.Working with graphic objects like artworks or photographs linked to specific texts in your layout? You can now “anchor” these objects quickly and intuitively by simply dragging them to the desired anchor location in the text.

With just a few clicks rather than designing all over again, let the new features of Adobe InDesign CS5.5work its magic. And then you can have your coffee the rest of the day.
