Camaya Coast as tourist haven

MARIVELES, Bataan, Philippines — Rep. Abet S. Garcia, 2nd district-Bataan, cited yesterday the tourism and industrialization potential of this town even as he expressed optimism that more tourists and investors have continued to flock in the province.

Briefing newsmen, Congressman Garcia said that the tourism industry of this town has been booming with the establishment of the Camaya Coast, know as “Little Boracay of Bataan,” due to its pristine beaches and crystal clear water. “Camaya Coast is so accessible from Metro Manila since it takes an hour only by speed boat to reach this town; it is also located near the SBMA,” pointed out the bachelor solon. New public higschool built

ANGELES CITY, Pampanga, Philippines — Residents of Barangay Cutud in this city will have their own public high school building as city officials led Monday’s groundbreaking ceremony of the soon to be constructed Northville 15-Good People International High School.

The project will be funded by Good People International Philippines (GPIP), a Korean organization based in the Metro-Clark area.

The construction will commence next month and it will include a 15-room classroom, one-storey building and a covered court.

Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan expressed his appreciation and lauded GPIP for choosing Angeles City as one of their recipients for their community project which include the construction of public school buildings in the Philippines. (Franco G. Regala)

Leisure complex in Clark launched

CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga, Philippines — Donggwang Clark Corporation (DCC) ground breaks its $200 million project which plans to develop the 304-hectare area into a tourism, recreational and leisure estate, including the construction of a new golf course at the former True North inside this Special Economic and Freeport zone.

Atty. Felipe Remollo, CEO-President of Clark Development Corporation (CDC) said the project also includes the development and leisure creation of 36 holes golf course and such clubhouse, condominium with 330 rooms, water park, spa and gymnasium, eco park, business center, store and function, international school, golf academy and driving range, clinic and drug store, hotel, casino, 500 units villas and shopping arcade. Binay to lead flag day

IMUS, CAVITE, Philippines — Vice President Jejomar C. Binay will lead the simple National Flag Day celebration program set on Saturday (May 28) at Barangay Alapan I-B, the site of the fierce battle between Filipino soldiers and a Spanish force before General Emilio F. Aguinaldo reportedly first unfurled the first Philippine flag in Cavite City.

The program set at Alapan Elementary School, starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, will kick off the two-week national celebration of the 113th Araw ng Kalayaan (Independence Day) on June 12. (Anthony Giron)

New fish plant in Dagupan

DAGUPAN CITY, Philippines — The backyard fish processors were given the chance to take advantage of the services of the 100-million seafoods processing plant in Bonuan Binloc.

Dr. Westly Rosario, plant manager, said backyard fish processors can avail of the services they need like packaging using the available equipment. He noted that some processors still use staple wire in their packaging. (Liezle Basa Inigo)
