MANILA, Philippines -- The most-awaited – and soon the most-talked about – silver wedding anniversary and renewal of marital vows between Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. and Rep. Lani Mercado will be held at 3 p.m.  Saturday, May 28, at the Shrine of St. Therese of the Child Jesus in Villamor Airbase, Pasay City.

Matteo, Derek lead  today’s Habitat  for Humanity campaign

Habitat for Humanity Philippines is gearing up for a four-year initiative to celebrate its coming 25 years of helping families in need of decent homes in sustainable communities dubbed “I Build.”

Part of the “I Build” campaign is to empower the youth in helping achieve its community development model. This year, Habitat hopes to strengthen its Youth Movement by inviting 1,000 youth volunteers from various schools, youth groups and organizations to be part of the “1k for 1Day” Youth Build today, May 28 in Calauan, Laguna. Youth Ambassadors Alexandra Eduque and Matteo Guidicelli together with Akihiro Sato and Derek Ramsay will lead volunteers from different schools as well as volunteers from the business sector in building homes.

Habitat for Humanity Philippines (HFHP) is a non-profit organization that serves families in need of decent shelter.

SM’s Little Stars visit China

SM’s Little Stars 2010 Grand Prize Winner Mareeya Akira Vane Sapia visits China from May 27 to 31 to grace the Grand Finals of the SM Little Stars China in SM City Xiamen. Joining her are first runner-up Johnny Regana and second runner-up Nicole Morgan.

The five-day visit is part of Cultural Exchange Program of the SM Supermalls in the Philippines and China. Accompanied by their parents, the Little Stars will have time to bond with their Little Star China counterparts.

The tour will also kick off the search for Little Stars 2011, which begins June 13 at all SM Supermalls.

Nina at Hard Rock Café 

Nina, the first female recording artist who received the coveted Diamond Record Award for outstanding sales of her Nina Live CD under Warner Music, heads Hard Rock Café’s lineup of performers today, May 28 (Saturday, 9:30 p.m.) while show band Drizzle with DNA powers the house after Nina’s performance.

Other featured artists at HRC are Mocha Girls (Sunday), Millennium (Monday), and Silk (Tuesday).
