Farmers to get subsidy help

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, Philippines (PNA) — Governor Amado T. Espino Jr. has vowed to give more impetus to the provision of irrigation, fertilizers and seed subsidy to improve the harvest of the province's marginalized farmers.

Espino made the assurance during a consultation dialogue with various irrigators’ and farmers’ associations at the Provincial Training and Development Center.

He said after laying the foundation of good governance, his administration has now set its sights on boosting the province’s agriculture.

Gov. Espino said the provincial government is now awaiting the report of the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) regarding the status of the province’s communal irrigation system so that they will know how to respond to the problem. (PNA)

CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan, Philippines — One of his priority and in fulfilling his vow for a better education for the next generations, Mayor Christian D. Urduja painting finds a home

LINGAYEN, Philippines — The provincial board here cares to preserve Pangasinan’s rich cultural and historical heritage that may likewise boost the tourism thrust of the province.

Recently, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) has enacted Provincial Resolution No. 649-2011 authorizing Governor Amado T. Espino Jr. to enter into a contract of sale for the purchase of the original 1954 oil painting entitled “Urduja,” created by mural artist Antonio Gonzalez Dumlao, one of internationally acclaimed Filipino painters in the 1930s. Cavite acts on public safety

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite, Philippines — Governor Juanito Victor “Jonvic” Remulla Jr. has created a task group which will look into the peace and order and public safety concerns in the province.

The 43-year-old Remulla formed the group to monitor and act on crimes and road accidents in the province, particularly along Aguinaldo Highway, the longest road which spans from Bacoor to Tagaytay City. Called Anti-Crime Task Force, the group will be headed by Executive Assistant I Sesinando M. Sapinoso and the other officers, to be selected by the governor, as members.

The task force formation was contained in Executive Order (EO) No. 17-Series 2011 that was signed recently by the governor. (Anthony Giron)
