MANILA, Philippines -- David Archuleta’s Twitter description, “I’m David. I like music.” is probably the understatement of the century.

As a boy, David says it was “Les Miserables” that inspired him to begin singing. Ten years later, still just a boy, he took his singing hobby to the hilt and captivated audiences the world over when he, then at 16, took the “Idol” stage and gave his all – landing the runner-up spot in “American Idol” Season 7 back in 2008.

Later the same year, he released a self-titled studio album which debuted at number 2 on the Billboard charts, kicking off with the hit single “Crush.” This was followed by 2009’s “Christmas from the Heart.”

Now 20, Archie is all grown up as a musician. He is coming halfway around the world to prove just how much so.

The balladeer hits Philippine shores once more for a one-night only solo concert on July 18, 8 p.m. at the Araneta Coliseum.

He will be sharing his first love to the Philippines for the third time, after two previous visits in 2009 and 2010. Get ready to hear David Archuleta’s new songs from his latest album, “The Other Side of Down,” including the hits “Something ’Bout Love,” “Elevator” and “Falling Stars.”

David Archuleta is brought to you by Ovation Productions and ETC, in cooperation with 2nd Avenue, Talk TV, Diva, Basketball TV, Solar, Jack TV, The Philippine Star, Business World, Edsa Shangri-La, Home Radio 97.9, Mellow 94.7, RX 93.1, RJ 100.3 and Optima Sign Solutions.
