Cavite creates health task force
CAVITE, Philippines — Governor Jonvic Remulla has created an ad hoc task force that will oversee the program and services of the health department in the four cities and 19 towns of this province. Remulla made the move to determine if the health program and services in the province are in place.
The formation of the task force and its functions are embodied in Executive Order (EO) No. 19-Series 2011 which he signed last week. The 43-year-old governor designated Dr. George R. Repique Jr., General Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital (GEAMH) administrator, as chairman of the task group. (Anthony Giron)
Bataan port area promoted abroad
MARIVELES, Bataan — To promote the newly-created Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) in various parts of the Globe, a total of 33 newly- appointed Philippine Ambassadors and Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) officials recently visited the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB).
FAB officials led by its chairman and administrator Lawyer Deogracias G.P. Custodio said the visit’s main objective is to introduce the FAB’s potential to the Ambassadors and DFA officials who can later explain and market FAB to prospective investors once they go to their places of assignments in various countries. Our Lady of Perpetual Help
CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Despite of the floods brought up by Typhoon Falcon which inundated many parts of Police Regional Office 3, the Annual Feast Day of Our Mother of Perpetual Help in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God was commemorated the other day at the Mother of Perpetual Help Chapel, in the Camp Olivas, here, which was attended by personnel of Police Regional Office 3 headed by Chief Supt. Edgardo T. Ladao, Regional Director together with his Command Staff. (Franco G. Regala)
Equipment donated
LAGAWE, Ifugao — The Ifugao Association of Foreign Workers in Hong Kong (IAFWH) recently donated medical equipments to government hospitals in the province consisting of six units each of wheel chair, stretcher and fetal Doppler in order to help boost the delivery of basic health care services and attend to the needs of the patients.
These were turned over to Ifugao Provincial Hospital Chief, Dr. Joseph Bulayungan, last June 16 for the benefit of patients especially the poor, and as an aid also to the other hospitals of Ifugao that are lacking of budget to supply all its needed facilities and equipments for their patients. Special training
CAMP PRESIDENT QUIRINO, Ilocos Sur — Ilocos region police director Chief Superintendent Franklin Jesus B. Bucayu had announced this morning, June 29, 2011, that a total of 113 police officers from the different police units in the region will undergo the second Modified PNP Special Counter-Insurgency Operation Unit Training (SCOUT) in Camp Brigadier General Oscar Florendo in San Fernando City, La Union.
He said the Modified PNP SCOUT is a rigid 45-day training designed to equip the police officers with the requisite skills and confidence that will give them a distinct advantage over those who threaten the internal security. (Freddie G .Lazaro)
