IN PICTURES: Stars grace 95th birthday celebration of former First Lady Imelda Marcos

Celebrities graced the merienda cena on July 3 at the Marcos mansion in San Juan for former First Lady Mrs. Imelda Romualdez Marcos's 95th birthday celebration.

Hosted by Senator Imee Marcos, the event also paid tribute to Mrs. Marcos's many achievements during the administration of former President Ferdinand Marcos, father of President Bongbong Marcos. A day before the San Juan event, Mrs. Marcos had already celebrated her birthday with an event at Malacañang Palace on July 2nd.

The event kicked off with a mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Boyd Sulpico, O.P. at 4:30 p.m. 

Stars, close friends of the Marcoses, and members of the media greeted Mrs, Marcos who was stunning in her cobalt blue outfit. Among the celebrities who joined the birthday bash include Ruffa Gutierrez, Cristine Reyes, Paolo Bediones, Dulce, Robert Sena, Isay Alvarez, Cesar Montano, Diego Loyzaga, comediennes Beverly Salviego and Juliana Parizkova, John Nite, Sen. Manny and Cynthia Villar, and their daughter Rep. Camille Villar.

Guests were also treated to a sumptuous merienda prepared by the personal chef of Sen. Imee. When asked about the birthday gift for her mom, Imee said: "Wala pa. Hindi ko pa naiisip."

The senator also showed her mom photos of various projects when she was the first lady displayed in one portion of the mansion. Director Darryl Yap presented two video clips of Mrs. Marcos: quotable quotes and projects of the First Lady.

Guests sang "Happy Birthday" to Imelda as Imee presented her with two birthday cakes. Mrs. Marcos' grandchildren blew out the birthday candles for her. Check out the photos:
