MANILA, Philippines -- Incubus is set to conquer the local concert scene anew via concert slated July 28 at the Araneta Coliseum.

Billed as “Incubus Live In Manila,” the show mounted by Ovation Productions is part of the Asian segment of the group’s world tour in support of its new studio album, “If Not Now, When?” to be released on July 12.

The 18-month global concert series, which kicks off in the US with shows on July 15 in Sta. Barbara and on July 16 in San Diego (both in California), will also cover other Asian cities, such as Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Mt. Fiji (Japan) and Jisan Valley (South Korea) before returning to the US for performances in Honolulu, Denver and Kansas City.

Incubus was formed in 1991 in Calabasas, California by vocalist Brandon Boyd, lead guitarist Mike Einziger, drummer Jose Pasillas and bassist Alex Katunich, who began playing together while they were studying in tenth grade. With them now are Ben Kenney and Chris Kilmore.

Incubus earned mainstream recognition when it started branching out creatively with the release of third album, “Make Yourself,” in October, 1999. Immediately going platinum (1,000,000 copies sold), the recording attained greater popularity when the fourth single from it, “Drive,” was released in January 2001.

The single became a huge success it moved quickly up to the top of the Modern Rock charts, eventually hitting the No. 1 spot before reaching the top of the Billboard 100 singles chart.

Incubus attained the highest-ever placement for its recording with its fourth full-length major label album, “Morning View,” released in October 2001, and which debuted on the Billboard Top 200 at the No. 2 spot (266,000 copies sold on the first week).

The band broke for the first time into the Billboard charts when its sixth album, “Light Grenades,” debuted at No. 1 on the charts in November 2006 and received a gold certification in America.

On June 16, 2009, Incubus released its first greatest hits album, “Monuments and Memories,” which opened at No. 5 on the Billboard 200, making it the band’s fourth album to reach the Top 5 on the Billboard 200.

“Incubus Live In Manila!” is presented by Ovation Productions in cooperation with Universal Channel, Jack TV, 2nd Avenue, Talk TV, Diva Universal, Basketball TV, Solar Sports, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and EDSA Shangri-La Manila. Kris has own footwear brand

Expect Kris Aquino to wear her own footwear line from Figlia on “Pilipinas Got Talent” and her newest morning show “Kris TV.”

Kris has been chosen to be the new face of Figlia in celebration of the label’s 25th anniversary this year. Apart from gracing Figlia’s glamorous billboards, Kris happily unveils her much-awaited shoe line under the brand.

Embodying the unique taste and personality of the multi-hyphenated star, the Kris Aquino Shoe Collection consists of “pair collections” of towering high heels and comfy flats. Kris personally came up with the idea to have high-heeled shoes that women can wear on elegant, more formal functions, and comfy flats version that can given women a more laid-back yet stylish look.
