CHED offers grants to agriculture and fisheries students

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) announces the commencement of the application period for the Agricultural Competitiveness Enhancement Fund – Grants-in-Aid for Higher Education Program (ACEF-GIAHEP) for Academic Year 2024 – 2025. Interested student applicants are encouraged to apply from July 1, 2024, to August 15, 2024.

The ACEF-GIAHEP aims to support undergraduate students pursuing studies in agriculture, forestry, fisheries, veterinary medicine education, and related agricultural programs at CHED recognized higher education institutions. This initiative is part of CHED's commitment to enhance the competitiveness of the agricultural sector by nurturing skilled professionals in these critical fields.

Applicants must submit their applications through the designated links provided by the respective CHED Regional Offices (CHEDROs), as follows:

Applications will be evaluated based on the eligibility criteria outlined in the CHED and DA Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2, series of 2024, and subject to the availability of slots and funds. Applicants who are not selected will be duly notified via SMS, email, or snail mail.
