Just a thought: There is no more lovely, friendly, charming relationship, communion or company than a good marriage. – Martin Luther King

MANILA, Philippines -- Males more popular: The three leading men tasked to play consort to the leading ladies of the filmfest entry, “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow,” are apparently much bigger stars than the actresses who star in the motion picture drama.

Jericho Rosales, Dennis Trillo, and Jake Cuenca have been cast as the male leads of “Yesterday.” Two of the actresses already cast by Regal-Studio 5 are Carla Abellana and Ritz Azul.

Heart Evangelista has been dropped from the cast due to conflict in schedule.

Hot man on hot seat: Noted lawyer and educator Atty. Adel Tamano takes on a new career, this time, as a TV talk show host.

Tamano debuts as an interviewer on Thursday, July 14 at 7 p.m. via ANC, the ABS-CBN News Channel.

His program is called “Tamano Perspective,” to air on Skycable channel 27.

According to the release, every week, Tamano will examine the latest news stories that can range from nationalism to family values and social media. But more than featuring a roundup of news, Tamano goes one step further by giving his opinion, as a lawyer and educator, on each story.

“There’s no fence-sitting allowed in the program. I’m not a journalist, I’m a lawyer and an advocate and so the show will reflect my training as a person who takes stands on issues. We want to present a point of view, a concrete and definite perspective on an issue, and we do this to encourage the viewer to take one as well,” Tamano explained.

Tamano said he admires the interviewing styles of Tina Monzon Palma, Dong Puno, and Winnie Monsod. He claims he’s had enough of politics, or trying to get elected in office.

Tamano, the first Filipino Muslim to graduate from Harvard Law School, is currently the Dean of the College of Law at the Liceo de Cagayan University.

Hot view from the top: Meanwhile, one of ANC’s senior anchors David Celdran returns with another season of “View from the Top,” a 30-minute feature on personalities at the top of their game.

ANC premiered July 11 the new season of “View from the Top,” anchored by David Celdran, which airs every Monday at 9:30 p.m.

Celdran also anchors “Executive Class” on ANC and is the editor-in-chief of Vault, a luxury and lifestyle magazine for men.

Hot seat for Albie: Poor Albie Casino, the 17-year-old boy implicated in the pregnancy of 21-year-old actress, Andi Eigenmann.

The boy has been dropped from the cast of what would have been his first movie, a reunion with his “Mara Clara” co-stars Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes. Albie has also been stripped of other work on TV, perhaps in an effort by ABS-CBN to shield him from media groups and also to quiet him down. The boy is reportedly enrolled as a college freshman.

Network’s efforts to segregate Albie from his “Mara Clara” contemporaries are seen as a way to maintain the wholesome image of both Mara (Kathryn) and Clara (Julia).

Albie has been replaced by Enrique Gil in the movie said to be inspired by a rivalry between two teenaged girls in “Mara Clara.” The other boy is played by Sam Concepcion.
