Parañaque LGU holds CPR awareness program

The city government of Parañaque conducted a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) awareness program to more than 100 city hall employees on Wednesday, July 17.

Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez said the program aims to teach employees the first-line response to accidents or emergencies.

Olivarez said the activity held at the Parañaque City Sports Complex was also part of the city government’s celebration of the National Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation Day and CPR Awareness Day.

He said the knowledge learned by employees on the first-line response can be used by them to help victims in need of CPR whether they are in their offices, homes, or any other places.

The mayor said the activity was led by the City Health Office (CHO) under Dr. RV Bombeta and Health Emergency Management System under Dr. Joyce Mantal.

Olivarez said first aid kits were also distributed to the participants during the activity.
