NCR tourism officers gather to improve travel pleasure industry

The Association of Tourism Officer-National Capital Region (ATO-NCR) met last Friday, July 19, to discuss initiatives to improve tourism industry in NCR.
The tourism officers discussed strategies of local government unit’s in NCR to strengthen tourism industry and help economy grow.
Paul Ahljay San Miguel, head of Las Piñas City Tourism and Cultural Office (LPTCO), said the city government of Las Piñas holds various programs and activities to better promote the famous Bamboo Organ.
He said Bamboo Organ serves as the the main tourist attraction in the city to both local and foreign tourists.
The LPTCO head said tours of the local and foreign tourists to the famous Bamboo Organ help economy in the city to grow.
San Miguel said the ATO-NCR led by their president , Charlie Dungo, of Manila Department of Tourism Culture and Art, also conducted planning for a tourism summit in 2025 to showcase the improvement of tourism in NCR and Philippines.
He said there are many tourist attractions that can be visited in the NCR that needs better promotion with the help of LGUs.
