Over 200 pregnant women attend 'Buntis Congress' in Las Piñas

The Las Piñas City Health Office (CHO) conducted “Buntis Congress” on July 11, which was participated by over 200 pregnant women eager to learn about various health and wellness topis crucial for their journey to motherhood.
Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the event was held at the Alamanza Uno covered court aimed to equip pregnant women with valuable lectures to ensure the well-being of both mother and child.
Aguilar said the event was spearheaded by the CHO team under the supervision of Dr. Juliana Gonzalez who gave several educational lectures including sessions on safe motherhood, responsible parenthood and family planning, health for mother and child through good diet and supplementation, and maintaining oral health during pregnancy and for the child.
Aside from the informative lectures, the event also included a raffle and giveaways sponsored by Aguilar and her Vice Mayor April Aguilar emphasizing the city's commitment to supporting its residents' health and welfare.
The mayor said the “Buntis Congress” is part of the city's ongoing efforts to promote maternal and child health, demonstrate the local government's dedication and provide comprehensive healthcare services to its constituents.
