Mayor Emi inspects Pasay City's flood-prone areas

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano conducted an ocular inspection of the flood-prone areas and barangays in the city to ensure the safety of residents as Tropical Storm Kristine lashed parts of the country on Wednesday, Oct. 23.

Rubiano said that she convened the Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Council on the possible effects of "Kristine."

She also ordered the immediate deployment of rubber boats and other quick response assets of the city government in case the need for forced evacuation arises. 

Rubiano reminded residents to just stay home and to always check the announcement of the city's Public Information Office.

She said that barangay health centers are ready to respond to the needs of residents.
