MANILA, Philippines -- There are three days left before Thirty Seconds to Mars comes rocking Manila, their first concert in the Philippines

The group was formed in Los Angeles, California more than 15 years ago by brothers Shannon and Jared Leto. Then came Tomo Milicevic, the group’s lead guitarist-bassist-keyboardist.

Shannon, the older of the Letos, has been playing drums since he was only five.

Jared, on the other hand, is an actor-musician. He has become a familiar face since he played Jordan Catalano in the TV show “My So-Called Life” in which he played opposite Claire Danes.

Concert happens July 29 at the Trinoma Mindanao Open Parking. Even some members of Echelon Malaysia have confirmed attendance to the band’s stop in the Philippines. Their songs include “Hurricane,” “This is War,” and “‘The Kill.”

Bossing Vic Nokia new ambassador

“Eat Bulaga’s” Vic Sotto has been tapped by Nokia as the face of its new Dual SIM phones, the Nokia X!-01 and Nokia C2-00. The ace comedian was presented to the media recently during the launch of the two new handsets in a special program hosted by Ruby Rodriguez and stand-up comedian Petite. Nokia gave away lots of prizes during the games.

Head of marketing said they choose Vic Sotto because “Bossing epitomizes our new Dual SIM phones because of his huge following; he is very easy to relate to, and very accommodating. He is the perfect celebrity to complement our new mobile phones which are packed with rich features for switching SIM cards …”

To formally unveil the new Dual SIM mobiles photos to the public, Nokia games will also be held in “Eat Bulaga” where more prizes and new Nokia handsets will be given away.

Bossing Vic is also featured in the new TVC campaign of Nokia Dual SIM phones.
