Iligan mayor, slate file candidacies

ILIGAN CITY – Reelectionist Mayor Frederick Siao and candidates under the Asenso Iligan Party filed their Certificates of Candidacy before the Commission on Elections here on Tuesday.

"I just officially filed my Certificate of Candidacy for re-election as your mayor today and I couldn’t be prouder to be joined by my son, Derrick Siao, who is running for city councilor, and our dedicated team," said Siao.

“We are excited to continue the journey towards a better Iligan and we were humbled by the overwhelming support of friends, family, and fellow Iliganons who joined us in a vibrant motorcade and walk, filling the streets with hope and energy," added Siao.

Asenso Iligan heard Mass at Saint Michael's Cathedral here before filing their COCs.

Three groups here led by retired policemen will file their COCs this week – The Kargadors, Abante Iligan, and Uban ta sa Bag-ong Iligan Movement.
