'Sarap ng Indonesia': Indonesian Food Bazaar 2024 at Indonesian Embassy Manila

In line with the celebration of Indonesia’s 79th Independence Day, the Indonesian Embassy in Manila recently hosted a three-day Indonesian Bazaar, dubbed “Sarap ng Indonesia,” from Aug. 23 to 25, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the embassy grounds in Makati City.

The Indonesian Bazaar is an annual event organized by the embassy in cooperation with the Indonesian Diaspora Network (IDN), with Indonesian companies in the Philippines as major sponsors. It serves as a platform for Indonesian MSMEs in Manila to showcase their products and services to the diplomatic and Filipino communities.A total of 43 booths participated in the festive three-day event, including five sponsors—all Indonesian companies in the Philippines—and 38 Indonesian MSMEs.

Alongside the bazaar, various activities were held for shoppers. The first day featured a breastfeeding seminar sponsored by Glorious Dexa Mandaya (GDM), a leading pharmaceutical company from Indonesia. The second day included a Zumba fitness session sponsored by GT Radial, a tire manufacturer from Indonesia. The third day featured a coloring competition for kids sponsored by United Family Food (Unifam), Indonesia’s leading food and beverage company, which showcased products like Milkita, Cola Candy, Kiko, Lemonilo, and more.

One of the highlights was the Noodle Creation Challenge, sponsored by Indomie, the famous instant noodle brand by Indofood, Indonesia’s largest producer of instant noodles, which took place throughout the three days of the event.
