The Valenzuela City local government officially welcomed students to the newly constructed Valenzuela City Technological College (ValTech) campus in Barangay Parada on Monday, September 9.

City Mayor Weslie “WES” Gatchalian and Vice Mayor Lorie Natividad-Borja joined faculty and students for a flag-raising ceremony to mark the occasion.
According to the city government, the expansion of the campus is part of the city’s commitment to providing more space for technical courses and updating the college’s curriculum.
The new ValTech campus will accommodate up to 3,400 students.
The campus spans a total floor area of 13,485 square meters. It features five buildings, 33 classrooms, and a total of 67 rooms, located on Kamagong Street, Barangay Parada.
The city government has also updated the curriculum to include new courses such as Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTEd), Bachelor of Engineering Technology (BET) with majors in Heating, Ventilating, Air-Conditioning Technology (BETHVAC), Mechatronics Technology (BETMECT), and Railway Technology (BETRT).
Additionally, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) courses are offered.
The city’s public information office said that the new programs offered by ValTech were made possible through the city's collaboration with several leading technical companies from various industries.
It added, as an example, the introduction of Railway Technology courses that address the needs of the ongoing Mega Railway projects and was developed in partnership with the Department of Transportation (DOTr).
The local government emphasized that the new ValTech campus reflects the city’s dedication to providing quality education and aims to prepare students to be globally competitive and ready to meet the evolving demands of different industries.
