Over 500K worth of drugs seized by Bulacan police

The Bulacan Police Provincial Office (PPO) launched 22 coordinated operations over the weekend which led to the arrest of 44 suspects and in the seizure of P529,911 worth of shabu and marijuana.

The 22 anti-drug operations conducted in the province resulted in the seizure of 76.93 grams of shabu and 56.56 grams of marijuana.

The crackdown was conducted to curtail the availability of illegal substances and disrupt the operations of those involved in drug-related activities.

A manhunt operation was also conducted resulting in the apprehension of five most wanted persons and 34 wanted individuals.

A separate anti-illegal gambling operation led to the arrest of 25 suspects and in the confiscation of P6,690 worth of illegal drugs during the said operations.

Brig. Gen. Redrico A. Maranan, Central Luzon police regional director, lauded the Bulacan PPO operatives' efforts, and emphasized that these operations demonstrate the effectiveness of the intensified anti-drug campaign and the dedication of the personnel.

Bulacan Provincial Police Office Director Col. Satur L. Ediong reaffirmed the police force's commitment to ensure a safe, drug-free province, highlighting the vital role of community cooperation.

He urged the public to remain vigilant and supportive as the police continue to strengthen partnerships with local government units and communities in the fight against illegal drugs and other criminal activities.
