Parañaque LGU, DPWH inspect booster pumps for proper water flow amid STS 'Kristine'

The Parañaque City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), together with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), has begun inspecting and monitoring the city’s booster pumps to ensure quality performance during Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.

Mayor Eric Olivarez ordered the inspections to ensure the pumps are functioning efficiently and to identify and address any issues that may arise, guaranteeing continuous water pressure and proper flow during emergencies.

Olivarez said that monitoring of the two booster pumps at Gatchalina Phase 2C in Barangay San Dionisio and San Felipe SAV 15 in Barangay San Isidro started on Wednesday evening, October 23. He added that it is a 24-hour monitoring effort.

According to him, monitoring the pumps is essential during typhoons, as they play a vital role in preventing flooding and supporting the city’s disaster response efforts.
