Mayor Emi issues 'Oplan kaluluwa 2024' guidelines

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubino issued the "Oplan kaluluwa 2024) guidelines for residents who will be visiting their departed on All Saints' Day (November 1) and All Souls' Day (November 2).

Residents are advised to check the weather forecast before going to the cemetery and bring umbrellas and raincoats for rain and heat.

She told residents to check the first aid and police assistance desk before entering the cemetery for immediate assistance in case of any emergencies.

The mayor also said visitors must check their condition before going to the cemetery to visit their loved ones or bring their maintenance medicines with them.

Parents and guardians are reminded to always check their children and do not leave them without a companion.

Rubiano also reminded them to bring essentials like water, food, extra clothes for the children, hand sanitizers, tissue, valid identification cards, and trash bags and follow the clean-as-you-go rule.

Bringing sharp objects, speakers, liquors, and gambling are strictly prohibited inside the cemetery.

Public cemeteries will be open from 6:00 a.m. - 12:00 midnight from October 29 to November 2.

Residents from the 1st District are advised to visit in the morning and afternoon for residents from the 2nd District.
