Ex-convict, 2 others yield P340,000 shabu in Rizal

A previously convicted individual for drug-related offenses was apprehended once more, alongside two other high-value targets, during a buy-bust operation in San Mateo, Rizal, on the evening of Wednesday, October 30.

The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) has identified the former convict as “Dalisay,” aged 44, while the other two suspects are known as “Archie,” also 44, and “Balong,” aged 43.

The arrests were made by the San Mateo Municipal Police Station in Barangay Maly as part of their operation.

During the operation, law enforcement officials confiscated plastic sachets containing approximately 50 grams of shabu, valued at around P340,600.

Further investigation indicated that the narcotics were reportedly sourced from Muntinlupa and were being distributed in San Mateo.

The Rizal PPO stated that the evidence collected has been submitted to the Rizal Provincial Forensic Unit for analysis.

The suspects are currently held at the San Mateo Custodial Facility and are expected to face charges under Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165, known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
