Man killed by 2 motorcycles in Tondo hit-and-run

A 36-year-old man died on the spot after being struck and run over by two motorcycle riders in Tondo, Manila, early Friday morning, November 8.

The Manila Police District (MPD) identified the victim as Wilson Mallari, a resident of Jose Abad Santos in Tondo.

According to the investigation and CCTV footage, Mallari was walking northward on the second lane at the corner of Jose Abad Santos and Tecson Streets at around 12:30 a.m.

While walking, he was suddenly hit by a motorcycle driven by an unidentified rider who was traveling along the same lane, causing him to fall on the ground and sustain physical injuries.

Afterward, another unidentified motorcycle rider ran over the victim's head while he was lying on the ground, resulting in his immediate death.

The MPD said the investigation is ongoing as authorities work to identify the motorcycle riders.
