Empowering moms via morning show
MANILA, Philippines -- TV5 has a new morning show called “Kumare Klub,” a spin-off to “Sapul sa Singko’s” mommy-centric segment then hosted by Amy Perez and Chiqui Roa-Puno. In the new show, Christine “Tintin” Bersola-Babao joins the hosts daily as it airs after the revitalized “Sapul sa Singko.”
One of the most prominent faces on morning shows since she started co-anchoring her very first morning show with her husband Julius Babao, Tintin is known as a hands-on mom to her kids Antonia and Antonio Francesco. The host and children’s book author has been supporting advocacies that champion women and children’s welfare and right parenting for moms.
“Ever since we launched the segment on ‘Sapul sa Singko,’ we’ve seen how the viewers, especially mothers who stay at home, patronized every tips Tiyang Amy and Nyora Chiqui deliver in a very light and easy-to-understand manner. They’re watching real mothers themselves who can relate to their daily dealings as manager of household. This prompted the management to produce a stand-alone show dedicated to mothers,” said Bing Mallari-Maano, program manager of News5.
“And with Amy, Chiqui and Tintin aboard, we are very hopeful that our viewers will embrace our team’s effort to put up a very informative show for moms,” she continued.
Every day, the dynamic trio serves the viewers with exciting dishes of information and solutions that will surely become helpful to every household. Together they solve household concerns with very easy steps and using simple and often-overlooked materials and remedies via “Kumare Tips.”
Other segments include “Pasok sa Budget,” “Pera Pera Lang” with Chinkee Tan and “Palengke Watch” with Rhoda Magnaye.
“Kumare Klub” is aired Monday to Friday from 7-8 a.m.
Driven Kapamilya actor avoids love
Young and “loveless” Neil Coleta is among the fastest-rising actors of ABS-CBN.
“I do not have any girlfriend now,” he said during an intimate interview after he signed a contract Wednesday with BNY as the company’s fifth celebrity endorser. He however intimated that he has had affairs with at least five women in the past.
“I am very much focused now on my acting career,” Neil stressed. He is cast in a significant supporting role in the still on-going primetime teleserye “100 Days To Heaven,” a top-rating ABS-CBN production.
“I am very thankful to ABS-CBN for its trust and confidence in me,” Neil said.
He is also Tikoy, a comedian, in the teen-oriented TV play, “Growing Up,” ABS-CBN’s latest show. Among the members of the cast are Julia Montes, Kathryn Bernardo and Diego Loyzaga. Together, they make the Ultimate Barkada Experience (UBE).
Before he joined ABS-CBN, Neil appeared in commercials. Modeling paved the way for his showbiz career, resulting in his first teleserye, “100 Days To Heaven.”
