Robredo confirms she would attend Duterte's 4th SONA

Parati naman akong dumadalo sa SONA (I will attend. I always the SONA),” she said. The Vice President was once part of the administration as housing secretary, but her stint was short lived after she quit her post in December 2016 due to policy differences with Duterte. Robredo, who is also the chairperson of the Liberal Party, has always attended President’s SONA even at the risk of being insulted once again by Duterte. She visited Bohol to attend the Angat Buhay Women Workshop for Aspiring Entrepreneurs, where she was the keynote speaker. AB WAWE is a three-day capacity development training for aspiring entrepreneurs. This is focused on developing the basic competencies they need such as evaluating business ideas and creating a business plan. In Bohol, Robredo also said she would no longer respond to the impeachment threat by Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) commissioner Manuelito Luna. Luna, a lawyer, claimed Robredo could be impeached over her remarks supporting the United Nations Human Right Council’s resolution pushing for a probe into the government’s drug war. Robredo had welcomed the UNHRC resolution, stressing the Philippines should abide by its rules and policies since it’s a member state of the human rights body. Asked to comment about her impeachment, the Vice President replied: Hindi ko na iyon ko-comment-an, kasi wala namang—hindi naman siya mahalaga (I will not comment on that, because it’s not important).
