New chapter begins for winners of 'The Unit'

By Francine Ciasico The finale of the Korean survival program “The Unit: Idol Rebooting Project” was filled with emotions as the winners were announced Saturday at KBS. Through “The Unit”, these artists appealed once again to the public by showcasing their talents on different missions – earning votes from the audience and the judges. Out of the 36 finalists, nine girls and nine boys topped the competition, and will soon be able to debut as Unit G and Unit B. Meanwhile, the male winners, according to their final rankings, are U-Kiss’ Jun, BigFlo’s Euijin, HotShot’s Hojung, BigStar’s Feeldog, H.B.Y’s Marco, Ji Hansol, MadTown’s Daewon, IM’s Kijoong, and A.C.E’s Chan. The 74 eliminated contestants reunited with the top 36 as they performed the show's signature song "My Turn" for a special stage. The event also featured newly produced songs in which the final 36 contenders battled for the top 18 spots. The female teams performed "Ting" and "You & I" while the male teams performed "Dancing with the Devil" and "Pull Me". Before announcing the winners, the 36 finalists performed "Present", a song dedicated to their fans who supported them through thick and thin.
