MANILA, Philippines -- A fresh and promising love triangle is launched in the new GMA-7 afternoon series “Kung Aagawin Mo Ang Langit” which starts airing Monday after “Sinner or Saint.” In the love battle are Carla Abellana, Michelle Madrigal and Mike Tan.

Carla plays the kind-hearted pre-school teacher Ellery Martinez, while Michelle plays the ambitious Bridgitte Samonte, her best friend. Mike, on the other hand, plays the happy-go-lucky Jonas Alejandro.

Carla said this is the first time that she’s playing a rich girl – with breeding. “I’m an only child, and I’m playing a role close to my heart, because I love children.”

Meanwhile, Michelle related, “I play a fashion designer, designing clothes for Ellery. And since I will have kissing scenes with Mike, we underwent workshops.”

Also in the cast of “Kung Aagawin Mo ang Langit” are Ricky Davao and Shamaine Buencamino, Ces Quesada, Paolo Ballesteros, Jan Marini, Kevin Santos.

The series is directed by Jay Altarejos and written by RJ Nuevas.

Bea Binene gets fashion lift

Tween star Bea Binene is known for her unique sense of fashion. It’s no wonder then that she was signed up recently as the new face of Bum.

“I call it kick-ass cutie,” Bea said, referring to her fashion style.

Bea admitted, “I’m not really into dresses, unless kailangan sa show. On a normal day, I’m more into pants, jeans and leggings. Anything black, white and gray. My fashion peg is what I call ‘kick-ass cutie,’ a la Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez.”

She knows how to kick ass, having won a bronze medal in the National Wushu Championships.
