Expect changes in PNP — Pagdilao

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite, Philippines — Best performance and services in the police service are to be expected with a leadership that is set on a transformation and cleansing process.

This was the gist of an impromptu message of Director Samuel D. Pagdilao Jr., chief of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), during Monday’s flag-raising ceremony at the Cavite Provincial Capitol, here, upon the invitation of Gov. Jonvic Remulla.

Cavite officials cited Pagdilao as the best police officer the province ever had, considering his performance and accomplishments then until now. (Anthony Giron)

CDC sets up 'Green' project

CLARK FREEPORT ZONE — The Clark Development Corporation (CDC) is set to implement the “Green Programs for Clark” in maintaining an environment-friendly atmosphere inside the Freeport Zone.

The project includes the exclusive use of Light Emitting Diode (LED) for more energy efficient lighting, bike lane systems for more eco-friendly means for transport, recycling programs, and possible incentives for the investments of promising alternative energy projects. (Franco G. Regala)

Livelihood assistance

DAGUPAN CITY, Pangasinan — At least 13 associations from the province of Pangasinan benefitted from capital assistance amounting to P1.43 million from the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DoLE’s) regional office.

The livelihood assistance from DoLE’s “Kabuhayan Program” will be used for the establishment or enhancement of farming supplies stores which will be managed by the beneficiaries from the towns of Sta. Maria, Umingan and Rosales. (Liezle Basa Iñigo)

Awards up for LGU campaign

SAN FERNANDO CITY, Pampanga — The Department of Health (DoH) here will give due recognition to government offices, government hospitals and local government units (LGUs) with commendable practices and measures against smoking.

DoH Center for Health Development 3 Information Officer Sherill Aure said nominations are still being accepted for the 2012 Red Orchid Awards. Winners will receive P100,000 worth of nicotine replacement therapy patches/ medicines to help smokers quit smoking, a trophy, and a certificate of recognition. (Mark Anthony N. Manuel)

Product promo eyed in Clark

CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga — The Clark Development Corporation (CDC) announced yesterday the establishment a “Pampanga Market-Market” for the promotion of specific product or service that is unique to each town of Pampanga in Clark Freeport Zone. Pampanga Governor Lilia G. Pineda has earmarked an initial P10 million for the project which is expected to commence soon in Clark.

Among the expected products to be marketed inside the Clark are the world-wide renowned lantern products of the City of San Fernando, pottery products of town of Sto. Tomas, furniture and sculptor products of Betis, Guagua, among others. The various food products of the province such as the longganisa, tocino, sisig and the likes will be included in the Pampanga Market-Market project.

The CDC will also set up road signs and electronic billboards that will provide information to commuters, guests, and local and foreign tourists plying the vast Clark road networks. (Franco G. Regala)
