Seven veteran broadcasters to appear in Willie Nep's repeat show
MANILA, Philippines -- “STOP! In the Name of Laugh,” the much talked about show in town (while many of you were out of town for a very long weekend holiday) will stage a repeat to accommodate the public clamor for an extended run. It will be held on Sept. 24 at the Music Museum.
“STOP! In the name of Laugh” is a fund raiser for the families of media related killing victims, an advocacy of 8 Tri Media Pro headed by broad caster Kaye Dacer.
For the first time in Philippine media and political history seven veteran broadcasters will have a rare one-on-one interview with former Presidents including the present one aptly titled “The Press Meets the Pres.”
The panelists include Karen Davila of ANC’s morning interview program, “Headstart,” DZMM’s top radio commentator Anthony Taberna, “Umagang Kay Ganda” host Bernadette Sembrano, “Bandila” newscaster Julius Babao, TV5 host Amy Perez of “Sapul sa Sinko” and the controversial “Face to Face,” the fiery co-anchor of “Pasada Sais Trenta” Vic de Leon Lima and the Queen of Public Service and “Aksyon Ngayon” host Ms Kaye Dacer.
The Presidents to be grilled by the newsmen are Ferdinand E. Marcos, Corazon C. Aquino, Fidel V. Ramos, Joseph E. Estrada, Gloria M. Arroyo and the present Malacañang resident Benigno C. Aquino III.
