BTS, ARMYs win at iHeartRadio Music Awards

It’s a double celebration for K-pop boy band BTS.

BTS (Twitter) They won Best Boy Band while their fans, the ARMYs, won Best Fan Army at the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards held at The Forum in Inglewood, California. For the Best Boy Band award, BTS edged out The Vamps, AJR, CNCO, In Real Life, PRETTYMUCH and Why Don’t We. “First of all, we would like to thank our BTS Army for this award so much. This is the award our BTS ARMY literally made happen. We could not find the right words how to describe how thankful, how grateful (we are) to you ARMY. We also thank iHeart Radio for this prestigious award,” said RM together with other BTS members in a pre-taped acceptance speech as the boy band were not able to attend the ceremony. Last year, BTS won the Top Social Artist at the Billboard Music Awards. BTS congratulated their ARMYs for bagging the Best Fan Army plum. “We congratulate BTS ARMY for receiving the Best Fan Army award. You deserve every bit of this award. Thank you so much. We are always overwhelmed by your support around the clock and all around the world. This award signifies passion and devotion of the BTS Army. You’re the best army in the world,” said RM. Other nominees in the Best Fan Army category were Arianators, Beliebers, Camilizers, EXO-L, Harmonizers, Lovatics, Mendes Army, Mixers, Selenators, Smilers and Swifties.
