DOJ taps DOH in contact tracing of persons exposed to infected personnel

(PNA / PTV / MANILA BULLETIN) The DOJ made the move after five of its personnel tested positive with COVID-19 after being tested positive in both rapid antibody tests and the confirmatory polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests “We leave it to the DOH to determine the parameters of the contact tracing now being conducted,” Perete said. “I understand, though, that all persons that have interaction with those who turn positive are being traced to determine possible exposure,” he added. DOJ Secretary Menardo Guevarra has already issued on Wednesday, June 17, Department Order No. 152 which directed the lockdown of the DOJ compound in Manila from June 18 up to 28. Guevarra noted that the five infected personnel are assigned at the DOJ main office building and the DOJ annex building located along Engracia Street. “All DOJ personnel assigned in the said buildings are directed to quarantine themselves and continue working from home unless hospital testing and/or treatment will be required,” read the order. “The Frontline Service shall maintain a skeleton workforce for the purpose of receiving any and all communications, letters, affidavits, motions, pleadings, and other documents from the public,” it added.
