It appears that actor Jerald Napoles is unperturbed by the recent breakups among local celebrities.

During an ambush interview on his new TV5 game show, "Barangay Singko," Jerald shared his thoughts on recent celebrity break-ups.

"Well, ayaw naming ikumpara ‘yung sarili namin sa pinagdadaanan nila. Iba rin kasi talaga ‘yung issue ng bawat couple. Magugulat na lang nga kami na Ay ganu’n pala ‘yung issue nila," Jerald said.

(Well, we don't want to compare ourselves to what they are going through. Every couple's issue is different. We were surprised when we found out that there's a big issue between them)

Jerald emphasized that every couple has their own personality and perspective on relationships, but during the pandemic when everyone was stuck at home, it became even more crucial to communicate effectively and work together.

"So different personality, different reasons, but we don’t wanna compare ourselves pero kami ni Kim kasi is napagdaanan namin ‘yung… sa lahat kasi, ‘yung pandemic ‘yung matinding pinagdaanan, I think in every relationship kahit hindi magjowa,” Jerald added.

(So different personalities, and different reasons, but we don't want to compare ourselves but Kim and I because we went through it all, especially during the pandemic, which was the hardest one. I think in every relationship not just for the boyfriend and girlfriends)

Being in a relationship with Kim Molina for 10 years, Jerald shared what makes their relationship work.

"Sa amin kasi ni Kim, sabihin agad natin sa isa't-isa kung anong problema. Ayusin natin agad. Kung may problema, sana sabihin mo agad sa akin. Okay lang, mag-away na tayo ngayon, huwag na nating alam mo ‘yun, ipunin? Hanggat maari nag uusap kami. Pero hindi ko sinasabing perfect kami ni Kim," Jerald said.

(When it comes to me and Kim, we immediately talked about our problems, we fixed them right away. If there is a problem, please tell me immediately. It's okay if we can argue right away, but let's not make it worse and suppress our problems. As much as possible we talk it out, but I'm not saying Kim and I are perfect.)

Gameshow era

Aside from his acting stint, Jerald ventures into his first TV game show "Barangay Singko Panalo" with Kayla Rivera.

During the media conference, Jerald shared how happy he was to be doing the project.

"Jackpot sa akin itong project na ito kasi halos lahat ng idol kong comedian nagiging TV host. Kaya nung binigay sa akin ito hindi ko inisip yung pressure kasi gusto ko goodvibes lang kami sa set," he said.

(This project is a jackpot for me because almost all of the comedians I look up to become TV hosts. So when this was given to me, I didn't think about the pressure because I just wanted good vibes on the set)

Joined by his co-host theater actress, Kayla Rivera, she plays the role of SK Kyla, who will help Kagawad Je facilitate the games.

"Sobrang greatful po ako sa trust and I wanna thank Je kasi sabi ko sa kanya pasensya nasa tagalog ko kasi nabubulol ako lagi, at yung timing din ng comedy ko natututo ako sa kanya," Kayla said.

(I am very grateful for the trust, and I wanna thank Je because I told them that I'm sorry for my Tagalog because I'm always mimicking words, and I'm also thankful for him because I got to learn the timing of my comedy from him.)
