Herlene Nicole Budol withdraws from Miss Planet International 2022 pageant

Miss Philippines Herlene Nicole Budol has withdrawn from the inaugural Miss Planet International 2022 pageant in Uganda, according to her talent manager Wilbert Tolentino.
"Due to uncertainties by the organizers, I have decided to withdraw Herlene Nicole Budol from the competition despite numerous attempts to fix some pageants debacles," announced Tolentino on Facebook on Friday, Nov. 11.
Tolentino's full statement:
"Due to uncertainties by the organizers, I have decided to withdraw Herlene Nicole Budol from the competition despite numerous attempt to fix some pageants debacles. It seems like the Ugandan government has no initiative to intervene.
"We apologize to the supporters, who were rooting for since day one. To the team, sponsors, and designers. Thank you and I am sorry.

"Thank you to the Filipino community in Uganda for the comfort and well wishes.
"Especially to Yiga Ventures, @Hassan Yiga & Rama-dhan Kimbugwe and his team for protecting and keeping my queen, Herlene and her team safe.
"For me as, MPP National Director, I am very hurt, not only we lost a crown, lost of money, lost of effort; but lost of time.
"But we will never lose hope, because we have bright future back home awaits.
"This is indeed a traumatic experience for all of us, but we fought for it until the end. And that is our mission," said Tolentino.

Tolentino, however, did not say if the Miss Planet International 2022 pageant has been cancelled.
Earlier, Tolentino said that the several girls have already withdrawn from the competition following issues on vaccine, Ebola virus and accommodation.
Despite the shocking experience, Tolentino said that he and his team are all safe in Uganda.
"Hindi man maganda experience naranasan namin dito but we are proud to say that we are survivors in our own way. Tumuloy man o hindi ang pageant, in good faith tayo lumaban at pinaghandaan," he also said. (Even if the experience we had here was not good, we are proud to say that we are survivors in our own way. Whether the pageant continues or not, we fought and prepared in good faith)
