Zamboanga City Hall issues notice of violation to BARMM satellite health office

ZAMBOANGA CITY – The city government on Monday, March 27, issued a notice of violation to the newly established Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) satellite health office here.

The notice of violation dated March 26, 2023 was served after inspections by the City Engineer’s Office and the City Planning and Development Office saw violations of the National Building Code and other pertinent laws in its construction. Violations include construction without securing the necessary building permit, the use of the edifice without a Certificate of Occupancy, and zoning clearance and locational clearance. It was also learned that the area is considered as a residential zone under the city’s zoning ordinance. The notice of violation was served to BARMM Health Minister Dr. Rizaldy Piang but was received by building caretaker Haiby Gaddong before 10 a.m. on Monday. The BARMM has three days to answer the allegations contained in the notice of violation. Residents have voted against the inclusion of this city in the BARMM in two previous plebiscites.
