MANILA, Philippines -- Get to know the biggest breaking news in entertainment as GMA News TV premieres this Monday at 7 p.m. the latest entertainment news source “Showbiz Exclusives.”

Premiering today, Oct. 10, “Showbiz Exclusives” gives viewers a daily dose of maximum chikahan filled with latest scoops and information as well as exclusive access to the hottest showbiz events. The newest entertainment news program places both Hollywood and local stars in one spotlight, and serves as the opportunity for controversial personalities to come clean.

Hosted by award-winning actress Iza Calzado, “Showbiz Exclusives” depicts the world of showbiz in a different light by bringing in an equal balance of breaking news and fascinating features about the people, programs and activities in the entertainment world presented in amusing segments.

The program also serves as Iza’s first showbiz talk show assignment. Since Iza entered showbiz more than 10 years ago, she has played a dubber, model and host, and now, an accomplished actress.

Joining Iza in this daily show are entertainment correspondents Nelson Canlas and Aubrey Carampel.

Tween pairs revive Kapuso soap

Expected to become another top-rater is “Ikaw Lang ang Mamahalin” which airs today, Oct. 10, on GMA-7 following “Pahiram ng Isang Ina.”

The earlier version of “Ikaw Lang ang Mamahalin” starred Angelika dela Cruz, Sunshine Dizon, Sherwin Ordoñez and Cogie Domingo. The remake features Barbie Forteza, Joshua Dionisio, Joyce Ching and Kristoffer Martin.

Providing much of the drama, intrigue and suspense are Gardo Versoza, Sheryl Cruz, Tanya Garcia, Matet de Leon, Ehra Madrigal, Ernie Garcia, Carla Estrada, Joko Diaz, Maricar de Mesa, Shirley Fuentes, Victor Aliwalas, Ella Cruz and Ms. Carmen Soriano.

The 14-year-old Barbie who idolizes Dennis Trillo said that nothing romantic exists between her and Joshua. “It’s all work and all about each other’s acting career,” Barbie stressed.

The roles of Barbie as Mylene, and Joyce as Clarissa, provide backbone for “Ikaw Lang ang Mamahalin.” Both Mylene and Clarissa are close friends in one community until a landslide separates the two. Mylene suffers amnesia while Clarissa, wearing Mylene’s necklace, ends up in a slum area.

Ising (Matet de Leon), who saved Mylene, renamed her Katherine whom she uses to pay for her debts. With no memory of her earlier life, Katherine finds her only friend and confidante in Charles (Joshua ).

Meanwhile, Ferdinand (Gardo Versoza) believes Clarissa to be his missing daughter Mylene, as Clarissa is wearing Mylene’s necklace. Clarissa pretends to be Mylene and lives comfortably in the mansion of Mylene’s father.

Intimate renditions from Sessionista Juris

Acoustic pop Sessionista Juris released recently her second solo album entitled “Forevermore.” Under Star Records, the all-OPM album is a compilation of soothing covers and new compositions.

The album contains well-loved ballads including Ariel Rivera’s “Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin,” Pops Fernandez’s “Don’t Say Goodbye,” and Sida A’s “Forevermore.” Also included are two tracks from Juris’ digitally released album in Korea, “If You And Me,” and “Wishes.”

Completing the 10-track album are “Dreaming Away” by Charmi Rose Santos; “I Believe in You” by Jude Gitamondoc; “Magkaibang Mundo” by Ebe Dancel; “Sabihin Mo Lang” by Trina Belamide; “Not Like You” by Francis and Carla Concio; “Kahit Di Mo Sabihin” by Jonathan Manalo; and “Bliss” by Juris herself.

The album is available in record bars nationwide.
