Varsitarian holds campus journalism fellowship
MANILA, Philippines — The Varsitarian, the 83-year-old official student publication of the University of Santo Tomas, (UST) will hold Inkblots 2011: the 13th National Campus Journalism Fellowship from Oct. 13 to 15, at the UST campus along España, Manila.
The annual three-day workshop will feature seminars on writing for news, sports, opinion-editorial, features, culture, and lifestyle. It will also offer lectures on investigative journalism, photojournalism, cartooning, Filipino writing, and layout. Invited lecturers include Lourd de Veyra, Palanca winner and TV5 host; Quinito Henson, newspaper columnist; Vim Nadera, Manila Bulletin columnist; Cesar Apolinario, GMA Network reporter; and Manix Abrera, GMANews.tv and newspaper cartoonist.

UK school offers new MBA program
Bradford University School of Management, a top 25 European business school is launching a new executive modular MBA in Manila.
The MBA is being offered in partnership with the Australian International School (AIS). It is the only MBA in the Philippines which is featured in the Financial Times top 100 worldwide MBA listings. The MBA strengthens the University School of Management’s presence in South East Asia as it is already offering MBA programs in Singapore, Hong Kong as well as other locations across the world.
The MBA will have four intakes a year and can be studied over two to six years, depending on an individual’s schedule. There are only 20 slots for the October intake. Typical subjects covered in the program include International Financial Management, Entrepreneurship and Managing International Business in Emerging Economies.
