CEBU CITY, Cebu, Philippines – A business process outsourcing (BPO) company with operations in Cebu invested P2-billion to set up its first company-owned IT building, which company officers describe as their long-term confidence in the country’s outsourcing and off-shoring industry.

“It’s a proof of our commitment to the Philippines and to the Filipino talent, “Rajiv Ahuja, Aegis Limited president for Asean and Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) said, adding that “Cebu continues to provide us with an extremely skilled workforce with the right experience for our local and international clients.”

Last week, the company, Aegis People Support inaugurated its 12-story Aegis Tower Cebu, a 3,300 square meter property located at the city’s Asiatown IT Park. Apart from being the first company-owned BPO building in the Philippines, the facility also boasts of being one of the first BPO green buildings in the country.

According to the firm, the building was designed to maximize energy efficiency, using sustainable materials sourced from suppliers with environment-friendly practices.

The tower’s amenities include a customized applicant experience center; a two-level fitness center with dance studio; a recreation center; a roof-top garden; two basements and three floors of parking spaces.
