8 Batangas cops get commendation
BATANGAS CITY, Philippines – Eight policemen assigned to this city received a certificate of commendation from Mayor Vilma Dimacuha after neutralizing a most wanted person in the city.
Certificates were given to SPO1 Tadeo de Chavez, SPO1 Arnold de los Reyes, SPO1 Jerome Andal, PO2 Dennis Dinglasan, PO2 Hendrix Cabarles, PO2 Joryel Alo, PO2 Isagani Lara, PO1 Alvin Aclan. Last October 14, a police team conducted an operation against Dante Torres led to a shootout in Sitio Suha, Barangay Sto. Domingo, here.

Big boost for Central Luzon products
CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga – Local products in Central Luzon are expected to get a promotional boost as the development of the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) here will include the establishment of the Pampanga Market-Market.
Clark Development Corporation (CDC) President Felipe Antonio B. Remollo and Pampanga Governor Lilia Pineda formalized the signing of the lease agreement for the establishment of the market inside the freeport that would showcase and sell various agricultural and cottage-industry and traditional products made in this province and the entire region. DA pays P24M to farmers
The Department of Agriculture (DA) has paid an initial P24 million as crop insurance to more than 2,700 Luzon farmers whose palay and corn crops were damaged by typhoons “Pedring” and “Quiel.”
Agriculture Secretary Proceso J. Alcala and Philippine Crop Insurance Corp. (PCIC) president Jovy Bernabe distributed the crop indemnity checks to farmer-beneficiaries during consultations with typhoon-affected farmers and local officials in Isabela, Bulacan and Pampanga.

‘Yield to checks,’ public urged
MALOLOS CITY, Bulacan — Chief Supt. Edgardo T. Ladao, Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director, urged the public Monday to be cooperative with police authorities deployed for security and order on all roads leading to the cemeteries.
Ladao made the appeal as he revealed that all Police Provincial Offices (PPOs) under his command are on full alert for “Implan Kaluluwa 2011,” the organization’s security measures for the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day. He said that as part of this security plan, there will be road checkpoints and strict security at cemeteries in Central Luzon. (Freddie C. Velez)
Nolcom ready for grave visits
IBA, Zambales — The Northern Luzon Command (Nolcom) has assured the public that soldiers assigned in the first three regions of the country along with the Cordillera region will have a safe time paying homage to their deceased loved ones.
Major General Jessie D. Dellosa, Nolcom commander, said government troops in the province will be working with the Philippine National Police (PNP) and are told to be more vigilant while maintaining the same standard of readiness that can deter any evil plots of the enemies of the state.
